ABOUT GREENPOWER TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, INC.
On February 2010, GTS started its humble beginning as G.U. Engineering's Power Division, with the objective and focus on the power generation industry. Our baptism of fire started when we were awarded by Energy Development Corporation (EDC) a contract to rehabilitate their balance-of-plant equipment at their newly acquired Bacon-Manito Geothermal Power Plant on November 2010.
November 2011, whilst the Bac-Man Project was still on-going, we received other contracts from EDC to do various on-site & off-site projects such as the Green Core - TGPP (Tongonan, Leyte) Turbine Housing & Split-line Repair and Green Core -PGPP (Palinpinon, Dumaguete) Turbine Middle Casing and LP3 Diaphragm Repair. On December of this same year, GTS was assigned co-contractor to WEIR and another notice-to-proceed was given to continue the rehabilitation works at Bac-Man with GTS as main labor and equipment. provider after cancelling their original contract because of repeatedly failing to meet target date.
January 2012, a second Green Core - TGPP (Tongonan) Turbine Housing and Split-line Repair was awarded to us this time together with the rehabilitation work for the entire set of diaphragm (5 stage x double flow 37.5mW design = 10 pairs of diaphragms). Work included installation and laser alignment of these diaphragms.
January 2013, work started on the insitu build-up and refacing of exhaust flange (mating surface) of the 60mW Toshiba Steam Turbine Housing of Mahanagdong Geothermal Power Plant (MGPP) unit "A". Actual work was done in less than 14 days. A completion our client appreciated very much.
